Carol LaChapelle is a Chicago-based writer and writing teacher who specializes in helping people tell their stories. She earned her B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in English from the University of Illinois/Chicago, where she then taught for several years.
In 1990, Carol left full-time academic teaching to conduct her own writing and journal writing workshops for a variety of adult audiences. Over the years, these have included therapists, educators, and clergy; support groups; writing and book groups; and those in adult continuing education programs.
Her memoir writing workshop Finding Your Voice, Telling Your Stories, based on her book of the same name, is offered in the Chicago area and around the country. It is designed to help people tell the stories of the important people, places, and events in their lives.
Audiences for the workshop include journal writers; people contributing to family and institutional histories; professional caregivers who encourage clients to tell their stories; and writers and artists.
Carol welcomes enquiries about her writing and teaching at 773-262-7763 or madmoon55@hotmail.com
